Rams Readying for Europe

The island’s netball team has named its squad for this year’s Europe Netball Open Challenge.

As well as the Manx Rams, the completion will see The Wales development squad, The UAE, the Republic of Ireland, Malta, Gibraltar, Switzerland, France, and Israel compete, with the island’s team due to play Matla in its first game on May 10.
The squad, sponsored by Santander, is led by captain Ashley Hall and includes: Alice Cross; Rebecca Cooke; Rhian ‘late night radio’ Evans; Aalish Harris, vice captain Rachel Johnstone; Zoe Kirkham; Cassidy Pizzey; Mackenzie Pizzey; Lydia Shaw; Niamh Skillicorn; Paige Skillicorn; Natalie Swales; and Sara Watterson.
Last After a successful 2022, the island’s team rose to 25th in the world rankings and despite since slipping one play to 26, they will be aiming for an even more successful 2023!
