Rennie Readying for Blackpool
He is due to fight on May 13
Fresh from his decisive points win earlier this month, Manxman Mathew Rennie is eyeing a quick return to the ring in May.
Rennie maintained his unbeaten pro-career record when he beat the previously undefeated Efstathios Antonas in Liverpool on March 4.
Rennie is due to fight at Blackpool’s historic Winter Gardens, which he said is a ‘venue I’ve always wanted to box at as it has lots of great history in the boxing industry so looking forward to having that ticked off the list’.
He doesn’t yet have an opponent locked in for the fight on May 13, but is hoping that his Manx fans will make the trip to Lancashire to see him fly the flag and cheer him on.
As well as thanking his legion of fans, Rennie is also keen to stress the importance of his sponsors who are backing him in what he himself has said is a decisive year for his career.
