Manxie (he grew up here, we’re claiming him) Bevan Rodd has been named in England’s 33 man squad for the men’s Rugby World Cup.

The Sale Sharks man had looked set to miss out last month but has been named in Steve Borthwick’s team this morning.

One of 19 forwards picked, Rodd comes into the squad off the back of a decent season with Sale, which saw them reach the final of the Premiership, where they lost out to Saracens.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup will be taking place in France from 8 September to 28 October, with England’s first game at 98pm on September 9 against Argentina.
