Southern 100 Practice Still on

As it stands, despite the heavy downpours, the Southern 100 course will close tonight as planned for practicing.

Roads are due to close at 6.05pm.

Clerk of the Course Giles Olley said:The weather is forecast to continue with rain until approximately 6pm and then clear, with just a small chance of a shower.

‘I have spoken to some of the riders and they would prefer to get some practicing done, even though conditions are not ideal, so at present the plan is to close the roads as planned. If the weather worsens then a further update will of course be provided.’
