Town Hall to Close for School Lunch Hour

Castletown’s Town Hall will close each day from 1pm to 2pm after an incident that remains under investigation by the police.
No further details have been shared by the local authority.
The Commissioners said: ‘Following an incident yesterday that remains under investigation by the Isle of Man Constabulary, board members convened this morning and have agreed to align a temporary closure of the Town Hall with the school lunch hour.
‘The management of issues arising from antisocial behaviour in the Town centre during school lunch hours has been placing significant and growing demand on staffing resources for some time, however the situation is becoming untenable.
‘We are conscious that this decision will affect the wider community and apologise for the inconvenience. An update will be provided once we have reviewed our processes.’
