Landslip on Mountain
Elsewhere, the Eastern Civic Amenity Site has closed due to the wind.
A landslip has ensured that the northern section of the Mountain Road will remain closed until at least tomorrow.
The damage has occurred between Ramsey Hairpin and the Bungalow.
The Police said there are also ‘reports of large boulders on the Tholt-y-Will road’ and asked drivers to ‘please drive with extra caution until this can be cleared’.
The police earlier shut the whole of the Mountain Road due to the ‘extremely poor’ driving conditions.
Officers said there has also been an RTC on the Mountain which also impacted on this decision.
Earlier today the cops were warning of trees coming down and some localised flooding following the heavy rainfall.
