Airport Opens as Normal
All scheduled flights depart/arrive after 6.45am
Passengers going through Ronaldsway are advised to turn up as normal at the airport, after a press release from the Post Office caused some confusion.
Earlier today the Post Office said that Ronaldsway will be opening at a later time from next month, which will affect air mail.
It said that the airport will be opening later, at 6.45am, from June 12.
However, the airport has now clarified this, saying: ‘We understand some confusion has been caused by a press release issued by the Post Office this morning. Instead of ‘airport opening times’, it should have referred to ‘runway opening times’, which will open at 6.45am instead of 6.15am from Monday June 12.’
The opening times of the airport terminal building will be unaffected:
Monday – Saturday 5.30am
Sunday – 6am
As all scheduled flights depart/arrive after 6.45am, they won’t be affected by the new runway opening hours.
