Another Day, Another Delay

The A18 Mountain Road has been shut most of this week thanks to snow and ice, and it’s still not quite safe to drive.

Highway Services confirmed the stretch between Ramsey and the Creg Ny Baa will remain closed until midday tomorrow (Thursday 8 January), as icy conditions continue to make the road treacherous.

Access to the Creg Ny Baa Hotel is still possible via Douglas (Hillberry) or Laxey (Creg Ny Baa Back Road), officials said.

The situation will be reassessed tomorrow morning, with any updates shared then.

Drivers are being urged to take care and plan alternative routes while the ice persists.
