Bad Day at Ronaldsway
Of the 19 flights, just eight made it on time
Having had some less bad days this week, Friday saw just 42% of flights at Ronaldsway depart on time.
Of the 19 flights, just eight made it on time, while the airport says the Manchester flight was cancelled due to issues with the plane.
With 1,282 people passing through the airport, one flight was delayed by up to 30 minutes, four by up to an hour, after four by up to two hours and one by over three hours.
The top reasons for delay were: Adiusted inbound arrival or departure time to avoid ATC Closure; Late inbound aircraft; and Ramp congestion.
The airport said: ‘Yesterday, we experienced a number of delays at the Isle of Man Airport due to late inbound aircraft and ramp congestion. In addition, the Manchester flight unfortunately had to be cancelled due to technical issues with the aircraft.
‘We understand the inconvenience these disruptions will have caused and encourage affected passengers to contact their airline for further information. Thank you for your patience and understanding.’
