Beauty appointments available on board for Grand National

The Steam Packet has partnered up with local makeup artists to make getting ready for the Grand National that bit easier.

It is one of the highlights of the year and for anyone who has done the day trip, it’s a bloody amazing day out.

However, while Gef can get away with just whacking on his suit and splashing on some Paco Rabanne 1 Million, others put some effort into looking glam.

To make this easier, the Steam Packet has partnered with local makeup artists; Yasmin Whitelaw, Francesca Spiers, Barbara Coney, and Emma Ogden, as well as hair stylist, William Smith, to bring the glamour to their passengers on board Manannan on April 13 2024.

Steam Packet MD Brian Thomson said: ‘Every year we see the amazing efforts people go to making sure they look their best for the Grand National. We were amazed to discover passengers were starting their day as early as 3:00 am to fit in a beauty appointment ahead of their sailing.

‘As a Company, we want to put excellent customer service at the forefront of what we do. We all know the Grand National is a long day out; we want customers to have the best experience possible, and being able to stay in bed a few hours extra has to be a better way to start the day.’

‘We’re also really passionate about working with local suppliers where possible, and this is a chance to help showcase great local talent while giving our customers a better experience – it’s a win-win as far as we’re concerned.’
