Manxman to Sail as Planned

Today’s sailings will go ahead as scheduled after the latest storm passed over the island.

As of 5.30am this morning, Manxman is approaching Douglas after spending yesterday sheltering off the coast of the UK.

The flagship will leave Douglas at 8.45am this morning, arriving in Lancashire for 12.30pm ahead of the return sailing from Heysham at 2.15pm.

After arriving back in Douglas this evening, she will then head to Heysham ahead of the overnight sailing back to the island.

Gef understands that there was some disappointment about the events of yesterday which led to the Manxman having to leave Douglas to shelter elsewhere when she could have stayed in the harbour. We further understand this possibility was communicated to the company only after the decision to move her had been made.
