More Sailings Cancelled

After last night’s Heysham sailing was cancelled due to the weather, this morning’s has gone the same way.

This obviously means that the return 2.15pm sailing from Lancashire has been cancelled as well.

The Steam Packet said: ‘Due to the forecast adverse weather this sailing has been cancelled. If you have a registered account on our website, you can log in and amend your booking online, alternatively you can contact our reservations team on 01624 661661 or 08722 992 992 after 07:15hrs to make alternative arrangements.’

Meanwhile, Ronaldsway Met Office has issue a yellow weather warning for heavy rain between 10am and 4pm today.

It said: ‘Outbreaks of rain will turn heavy and persistent from mid-morning, widely giving 10-20mm across the island, with a risk of 20-40mm over higher ground. This will likely lead to difficult driving conditions, with areas of standing water as well as a risk of localised flooding.’
