Sailings At Risk

Two planned Steam Packet sailings have been put at risk of cancellation.

Tonight’s (Tuesday’s) scheduled Manxman sailing to Heysham, which is due to depart from Douglas at 8.45pm, could be scrapped due to forecasted adverse weather conditions.

The return journey from Lancashire, set to sail in the early hours of Wednesday morning, also hangs in the balance.

A decision on whether the journeys will go ahead is expected to be made by the Manxman’s master by no later than 6pm tonight.

A notice issued online by the Steam Packet said: ‘Due to the forecast adverse weather this sailing is subject to possible disruption / cancellation.’
