Tomorrow morning’s Heysham sailing is at risk of disruption due to another spell of bad weather due to hit the island.

The 8am Manxman sailing to Lancashire and the 2pm return are those at risk.

A final decision will be made on the sailings by 6.30am on Saturday morning.

Today’s sailings are running as planned, with the Manxman leaving Douglas at 8.39am, due in Heysham at 12.25pm, before returning back into Douglas for about 6pm tonight.

She is then due to leave Douglas at 7.45pm, arriving in Heysham by 11.30pm ahead of the 2.15am returning sailing overnight.

The forecast for tomorrow is rain arriving around dawn, heavy at times through the morning before turning more intermittent in the afternoon. Fresh to strong southeast winds at first will turn to a westerly gale of severe gale for a time tomorrow afternoon into the early evening before easing tomorrow night, peak winds are likely to be late afternoon with gusts to 60-65mph. Temperatures 11C.
