TT Session Cancelled
The news comes after a crash on the Mountain Road earlier today
Thursday evening’s TT qualifying session has been cancelled after a crash on the Mountain Road.
The incident happened earlier this afternoon between the Bungalow and the Ramsey Hairpin.
Police shut the route at around 1.50pm.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Man Constabulary later revealed that two people were receiving medical treatment at the scene after the crash.
TT organisers released a brief statement at around 5pm saying: ‘Due to a road traffic collision that occurred on the Mountain Course, the clerk of the course Gary Thompson has confirmed that this evening’s qualifying session is now cancelled to allow the appropriate services to manage the incident.
‘An updated schedule will follow shortly.’
The road is expected to reopen at around 7pm.
