Cafe Owner Saves the Day

A visiting fan has praised Victory Cafe’s Benn Quirk for helping rescue his broken down bike.

Graham Cutting wrote in a TT Facebook group about an incident where his bike broke down while heading up the Mountain.

He said that his clutch went on his 350 YPVS on Friday on the way to the Mountain, forcing him to park it up at someone’s house before heading to Victory Cafe.

‘As soon as we started speaking with Ben, it was obvious he’s made of different stuff,’ Graham said.

He added: ‘Offered the use of his workshop (if we could find a replacement clutch) and lent us his van without hesitation, just said park it up in Peel when you’re done. Just tried to give him a drink which he declined and kept smiling saying no problem. Can’t thank him enough – top top man.’
