For Raul
Raul, 46, died in a crash on Wednesday
Angel Torras Martinez, brother of Raul, says he is honoured to be asked to flag the start of today’s Supertwin race to commemorate his brother.
Raul, whose popularity has been evident by the outpouring of emotion from his fellow competitors, died in a crash on Wednesday.
The 46-year-old died at Alpine on the final lap of the evening’s Supertwin race.
Angel said: ‘I am honoured to be able to flag tomorrow’s race as a way of symbolising my brother Raul’s undoubted passion for the Isle of Man TT Races and his clear love of road racing. Myself and my family were incredibly proud of all Raul achieved as the fastest Spaniard to have competed and will continue to support and follow the TT.’
The race gets underway at 2pm.
