Martinez died during this year’s TT and his funeral is being at Douglas Crematorium this afternoon.
With bikers starting to gather at the Grandstand from late morning, they joined his family in a memorial lap of the TT Course led by Travelling Marshals and the hearse carrying his body.
As well as the bikers, not all of whom were locals, mourners lined the pit lane, Glencrutchery Road and the Grandstand.
A policeman from Spain, Martinez, 46, has been described as one of the most popular riders in the TT with his fellow riders.
Travelling Marshal Jim Hunter said the biking community had ‘done us proud’ in turning out to support the family.
