Bank Holiday Weekend Forecast Promises Days of Sunshine

It’s actually happening – the Isle of Man is finally in for a decent spell of weather just in time for the bank holiday weekend.

According to our pals at the Ronaldsway Met Office, it’s looking dry, sunny and all-round delightful across the island from Friday right through to Tuesday.

We repeat: sunshine, and not the blink-and-you-miss-it kind.

Friday’s forecast sees sunny spells from morning till night.

If you’re the type who plans your day around the tides (or just loves a sea swim), high tide in Douglas is at 3:09am and 3:39pm, while low tide will roll in at 9:36am and 10:03pm.

Sunrise is at 5:39am for the early birds and sunset’s a dreamy 8:52pm.

On Saturday, things get even better – more sun, more warmth, more reason to throw on your sunglasses and pretend it’s July.

Forecasters are calling it a ‘bright and pleasant day’, which is Isle of Man speak for ‘don’t waste this, it won’t last forever’.

Sunday follows the same sunny vibe, and then both Monday and Tuesday are forecast to be dry with sunny intervals too.

So, basically, the island’s getting five days of rare meteorological joy.

Highs of 13°C to 15°C during the day, and lows of 7°C to 9°C at night – warm enough to sit outside without regretting it immediately, but still bring a hoodie just in case.

This news will come as a massive win for anyone heading to MiniFest or taking part in the other outdoor shenanigans lined up this long weekend.

There’s never been a better excuse to get out, stretch your legs and admire a shiny little Mini or two.
