Soaking Sunday Incoming

The Ronaldsway Met Office has slapped a yellow weather warning on the whole island for heavy rain this weekend.

The warning kicks in from 1am until 2pm on Sunday (October 19).

An area of rain is set to move in from the west overnight into Sunday, becoming properly heavy at times before clearing up later in the afternoon.

Most spots are expected to see 15 to 25mm of rain, but the hills could cop up to 50mm, so it’s not looking great for your morning walk or bike ride.

The Met Office says all that rain could cause surface water flooding, especially where drains are already blocked by fallen leaves.

So maybe keep the wellies by the door, check the gutters, and get ready for a soggy Sunday.
