Woman’s Body Found After Police Search
People are asked to respect her family’s privacy at this time.
The Police have announced that the body of a woman has been found after an extensive search in the Groudle area.
Islanders were awoken by the sound of a helicopter in the area early this morning, while officers and their search partners have been active in the area for most of the day.
A statement said: ‘We are sorry to now report that the body of a deceased female has been recovered in relation to that search. The family have thanked all those involved in the search. We will not be releasing any further information and would ask that the privacy of the family is respected at this time.’
