Chief Going to Coronation

Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer will be accompanied to the coronation of Charles and Camilla by the Chief Minister.

Government House has announced the pair will attend the coronation at Westminster Abbey next Saturday.

Charlie will host a reception at Buckingham Palace on the evening of Friday May 5 to welcome all overseas representatives travelling to London to attend the coronation.

Over 500 international guests are expected to attend, including a large number of foreign royals, heads of state and government.

Sir John will return to the island on Sunday May 7 to attend a special coronation service with Lady Lorimer at Cathedral Isle of Man in Peel. On Monday, they will be joining the island’s community in celebrating the coronation at a number of events taking place around the island.
