Fire Service Pay Tribute to Arthur

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has announced the passing of former colleague Arthur Corlett.

In a statement issued at the request of the Corlett family today (Friday), the service said it was with ‘deep sadness’ that it confirmed Arthur died on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Arthur joined the Fire and Rescue Service in 1964. He initially served at John Street Fire Station before later moving to the current site on Peel Road.

The service said that even after his retirement, Arthur remained a valued member of the Fire Service family and continued to attend social events on a regular basis.

Paying tribute, the statement concluded: ‘On behalf of Arthur’s Fire Service family, may he rest in peace. He will be greatly missed.’

Arthur’s funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 11 at 11.30am at Douglas Crematorium.
