Tributes Pour in For Laxey EVF’s Arthur

Ellan Vannin Fuels (EVF) has shared the sad news of the loss of one of their cherished team members, Arthur, who passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning (Monday).

Arthur, a familiar face to locals and a beloved colleague, had been part of the EVF family since 2012, when the company acquired the Laxey site.

In reality, he had been at the location for many years prior, becoming a fixture in village life.

Known for his larger-than-life personality, Arthur would often pop in on his days off just to catch up with the team and see what was happening in the village.

‘Arthur will be greatly missed by the team,’ EVF said in a post. ‘Our thoughts are with Arthur’s daughters and wider family during this sad time.’

Customers and colleagues alike have paid tribute to a man whose friendliness, humour, and community spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who met him.
