Batten Down The Hatches!
Hold onto your hats, folks!
The Ronaldsway Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for inner harbour flooding and coastal overtopping this evening.
It comes into force at 11pm tonight (Friday) and is in place until 3am (Saturday).
The weather warnings are likely to be coming thick and fast this weekend.
Forecasters informed Gef that we’re expecting a particular ‘period of severe weather on Sunday with the recently named Storm Ashley’.
With gusts of winds reaching up to 50mph, it’s probably best to avoid scenic drives along the coast, especially at high tides.
Currently a yellow weather warning is in place until 2.30pm today (Friday), with the usual suspects in the splash zone, including Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown Promenade, the northern end of Douglas Prom, Laxey, and Ramsey.
Stay safe, stay dry.
