Time Capsule Found
The capsule dates from 1905
Manx National Heritage says the builders working around Westmoreland Road have found a time capsule.
MNH said it dates from November 1905, but the capsule does appear to be in good condition.
It said: ‘This fabulous time capsule was brought into the Manx Museum earlier today! Discovered by the team at Manx Demolition near the grounds of Henry Bloom Noble School, the capsule dates to 1905, is sealed in wax and was found wrapped in lead.’
It contains a copy of the Isle of Man Examiner and Mona’s Herald.
The demolition company is currently taking down the former Ballacloan Primary School.
