Well, the Media Isle of Man Awards for Excellence have wrapped for another year, and once again the Villa Marina was absolutely buzzing with Manx talent, success stories, community heroes… and more sequins than should legally be allowed in one room.
Sixteen shiny trophies were handed out on Thursday night, celebrating the absolute best in business, community spirit, innovation, and general Manx brilliance over the past 12 months.
There was even a special Global Ambassador Award, basically the island’s way of saying: ‘You’ve made us proud, come home and let us clap at you.’
This year’s global superstar-in-chief was none other than Davy Knowles, who hopped over from America to pick up his award. And yes, he’s still just as annoyingly talented as you remember.
Capital International walked away with Business of the Year, while Gillian Christian took the crown as Leader of the Year. Zurich also scooped Employer of the Year.
