Good news for fans of purple plans, airline Flybe will be back in Manx skies in October.

The old airline previously operated daily routes to Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.

Relaunched under a new owner, Flybe originally didn’t include the island on its list of new routes when it relaunched in March. However, the island has been added to its winter schedule.

As keen observers of its website will see, the airline is now offering flights between the Isle of Man and Belfast and London Heathrow as it goes toe to toe with easyJet and Loganair.

According to its website, the Belfast route will begin again on October 30, with Heathrow due to launch the next day.

The Belfast route will operate six days a week, Sunday to Friday, with Heathrow running Monday to Friday.

However, while both routes are showing, they not yet available to book.
