14-Year-Old Filming Prodigy Impresses Local Car Dealership

A 14-year-old with a camera has become an unlikely star of a local Isle of Man car dealership, and it all started with a simple question.

Six months ago, Jay Jay turned up at Rex Motor Company, based at White Hoe Industrial Estate, with his mum and asked: ‘Can I film some of your cars?’

The team said yes, not really knowing what to expect. What followed, they say, completely blew them away.

Now just 14, Jay Jay regularly visits the dealership to film vehicles for social media and promotional use, earning himself some pocket money along the way.

But instead of spending it on the usual teenage treats, he’s been reinvesting it straight back into his passion, upgrading his filming kit and sharpening his skills.

And it shows.

The videos he produces are polished, creative and confident, with slick edits and an eye for detail that wouldn’t look out of place in a professional showroom advert.

You can judge them for yourself on the Rex Motor Company Facebook page HERE.

Rex Motor Company says it has been ‘incredibly proud’ to support Jay Jay, praising both his attitude and work ethic.

‘When I was 14, I was probably eating mud,’ one member of the team joked. ‘Jay Jay, on the other hand, is capturing and editing videos that wouldn’t look out of place in a professional showroom advert.’

The dealership says Jay Jay now comes down most weeks, building experience, confidence and a growing portfolio.

They’ve now officially introduced him to the world, with a simple message: ‘Keep an eye on this lad, because he’s going places.’

And judging by the footage, they might just be right.
