Manx Amaretti cookies, baked in the south of the island are to be featured on TV just days before Christmas.

The cookies are made by Port St Mary based Angelica Belle.

Chef Andrea Ashton-Worsfold, who is behind the brand (a little bird tells us they are available in Robinson’s stores), will appear on ITV’s Saturday Morning show with host James Martin.

The show will air this Saturday (December 23) at 9.30am. It will feature the award-winning Amaretti cookies being used by the British TV chef to garnish and accompany his Lemon Posset.

Andrea’s husband, Chris, said: ‘This is great exposure and came about as a result of Andrea being awarded 3 Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards this year.

The show will feature the award-winning Amaretti cookies being used by James Martin to garnish and accompany his Lemon Posset.

‘[She received] two Gold Stars for her Lemon Amaretti Cookies, two Gold Stars for her Orange Amaretti Cookies and one Gold Star for her Lemon Plant Based Amaretti.’

The competition was judged via a blind tasting with no packaging or producer details on show. The Angelica Belle amaretti was also judged alongside 14,000 other entries from 109 countries with 500 judges in attendance.
