It was announced yesterday that the Ballasalla bakery has been bought by Robinson’s.
The Ross Bakery team say they are looking forward to the future with a new bakery and new plans.
It was announced yesterday that the Ballasalla bakery has been bought by Robinson’s.
The company said the two would be ‘building a new bakery for the Isle of Man, set to open in early 2024’.
They said: ‘We are very excited to be going on this journey with Robinsons, they have been a big supporter of the bakery over the years and are of huge importance to the local food scene here on the IOM. This is a really positive move for the island and a well-kneaded(sorry!) good news story.
‘It’s almost exactly five years since we opened the bakery in Ballasalla, starting from nothing and building it up through lots of hard work and support from our community. If we’ve learned anything from this time it’s two things. Baking bread for people is a privilege and that privilege is granted by the people who choose to buy it.
‘So as we start to draw a line under this first chapter of Ross Bakery and look forward to the next, we just wanted to say thank you to everyone who granted us this beautiful privilege of making bread for you. We are, and always will be, unbelievably grateful.
‘It will be business as usual while we build the new bakery so expect to see the bread in all the usual places as normal. We look forward to making even more bread for you lovely, lovely lot of Manxies!’
