Tesco Express Reopens After Evacuation

Castletown’s new Tesco Express store has reopened following an evacuation earlier today.
The store was evacuated after a significant amount of white smoke or vapour wafted through the store.
We understand that it was a security feature being triggered which led to the evacuation.
Two customers contacted Gef to say that they were in the store when it was evacuated.
They said that it came from the area of the tobacco/vape counter.
The store only opened at 8am this morning after a refit when it took over Shoprite.
We have contacted Tesco for comment.
