This Friday sees the Ginger Hall throw open the doors to its kitchen with the launch of its new restaurant.
We spoke to Anya and Mark Evans when they took over the iconic pub earlier this year.
Having had a bumper MGP, the couple have turned their attention to getting the kitchen set and their menu planned.
Mark told Gef: ‘Our food will be based on traditional pub food with a selection of starters, mains and desserts.’
The menu will include; Breaded Brie served with salad and Cranberry Sauce, Soup of the day, Pate with Onion Chutney, Pork Chops, Fish and Chips, Baked Sea Bass, Thick Cut Ham and Dijon Mustard, signature Homemade Sticky Ginger Pudding, Homemade Chocolate Brownie and Lemon Tart, plus a selection of lunchtime classics and a Sunday roast offering.
He added: ‘The restaurant room has been totally refurbished and the kitchen has received a major upgrade, we’ve invested back into the business, hoping that we can attract people with a good offering at very reasonable prices.
‘We want to make the Ginger Hall a place that’s a great place on our local’s doorstep in Sulby and worth travelling to for a delicious meal in a relaxed pleasant atmosphere. We are using locally sourced ingredients where possible and the menu has been designed to enable us to produce as many homemade dishes as we can.’
Having taken over the pub just over three months ago, Mark said the Ginge had a ‘very successful’ MGP and that the support of the locals had been ‘wonderful’.
He added: ‘We’ve introduced bar food which has received excellent feedback and our customers have welcomed the work we have completed so far with the decoration and the changes we have made. All in all it’s been a good start and we hope by opening the restaurant we can attract more guests to come and see what we’re all about.’
The pub is taking bookings on the phone, 897231.
