Restaurant Reopens After Fire
Fire crews were called to the restaurant at 4.35pm today.
L’experience Restaurant, based in the Regency Hotel, has reopened after a small fire earlier this evening.
Fire crews were called to the restaurant at 4.35pm today.
Upon arrival, crews located a small fire in the basement area and extinguished it using a high pressure hose reel, they then checked the area for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera. Another was committed to help vent the property of smoke.
Owner Michael Murphy apologised to customers in a video on Facebook saying it was an ‘issue with one of our dryers’.
He added: ‘Thank you very much to Douglas fire brigade for doing an amazing job.’
Fire crews were in attendance for about 90 minutes.
