Restaurant to Close, but Cocktail House to Open

Tacoma Bar and Kitchen is to close early next month, but its owners already have plans to replace it.

The restaurant, owned by Rikki Dunnage and Edward Cox, first opened in Victoria Street 18 months ago.

On Saturday March 2 the restaurant will be serving its customers and closing its doors.

Rikki, Edd and manager Ray said: ‘Running a restaurant comes with a huge set of challenges and there has been a number of factors including staffing, costs and some things outside of our control that means we have had to take steps to future proof the location with a new concept.’

However, wipe away those tears, it will reopen after a refurbishment and reopen as Grain and Vine – Ale & Cocktail House.

They added: ‘More details to follow in the coming weeks but expect the largest selection of draft products on island, new pool/darts/tv room, even more quality cocktails, wines and spirits along with the superb service levels we have pride ourselves on since the start.

‘Finally a huge thank you for everyone that has made Tacoma such a good experience for us, our team will be back after the reopening which we know you’ll love.’
