The Shed Is Back – And So Are the Queues

Published

on

After a nine-day refurb, The Shed has officially reopened its doors, and the island has wasted no time piling back in.

The artisan beachside eatery overlooking Laxey Bay was buzzing all weekend, with Gef popping down on Sunday to find queues out the door and half of Laxey seemingly powered by flat whites and sea air.

The team at The Shed say they’ve given the place a ‘cosy beachside refresh’, powered by early starts, late nights and a whole lot of graft.

They were quick to thank the army of local legends who made it happen, from joiners and sparkies to plumbers, floorers and even the folk behind their shiny new sign and branding glow-up.

Starlink is now keeping their internet alive (miracles do happen), and Team Shed have been hailed as heroes for surviving the chaos with smiles intact.

With the refurb blessed by Garff Commissioners, The Shed is now back open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm, all year round.

The doors are open, the coffee’s hot, and judging by the weekend turnout, the island has missed a happy place by the sea.
