One of Ramsey’s best-loved pubs is taking a short break, but it’s all in the name of improvement.

The Trafalgar Hotel on West Quay, multiple-time CAMRA Pub of the Year winner, has announced it will be closing its doors at 6pm on Sunday, November 16, for a couple of days while it undergoes a full service and upgrade.

In a post shared on social media, the pub said: ‘It’s been almost 10 years since the Trafalgar got a full service.

‘Over two days we’ll fully replace all the beer lines, improve the cooling and replace the keg fonts and cask hand pumps. We’re adding more keg and cask lines.

‘We will also be having a bit of a spruce up!’

The team aims to reopen on Wednesday, November 19, at 11am, refreshed and ready to pour even more perfectly kept pints.

So if you fancy one last pint before the mini makeover, you’ve got until Sunday evening.
