Coffee and Dolphins Under One Roof in Peel!

Published

on

Manx Dolphin and Whale Watch (MWDW) and Cranky’s Coffee IOM are now officially sharing the same roof, bringing together caffeine fixes and dolphin chat in one cosy high street spot.

After ‘four weeks of non-stop graft’, the MWDW is taking a few days to catch their breath before getting posters and leaflets up for their grand opening on Saturday, February 28.

From then on, you’ll be able to pop in during Cranky’s hours, 10am to 3pm, closed Wednesdays and Sundays, at 23 Michael Street, Peel.

So what does this actually mean for visitors?

The café itself hasn’t changed, coffee, cakes, seating, and friendly service are exactly the same.

But in the back room, MWDW will have a small working hub where staff can meet volunteers, prep resources, and carry on their mission to protect whales, dolphins, porpoises, and even basking sharks in Manx waters.

It’s a win-win for locals and tourists alike as you can enjoy your latte while maybe spotting a few marine conservation heroes behind the scenes, and pick up a leaflet or two about our island’s incredible wildlife.
