Generous Lottery Winner Hands £1,000 Back to Hospice
A lady called Elaine Burton won the £1,000 grand prize in this month’s Hospice Lottery, and in a lovely twist, she generously chose to donate the full amount back to the charity.
The Hospice said they were ‘completely overwhelmed’ when Elaine informed them of her decision, adding that her ‘incredible gesture will help us continue providing compassionate care and support to those who need it most.’
From everyone at the Hospice, they offered their thanks to Elaine for her ‘kindness and generosity,’ describing her action as something that ‘means more than we can possibly express.’
Elaine’s hopefully feeling the love, with dozens of comments applauding her kindness.
The Hospice also encouraged residents to take part in the March Super Draw, which offers a £10,000 prize (and no, you don’t have to be as awesome as Elaine and give it back, but it would be bloody nice if you did!).
Tickets are available at www.hospice.org.im/lottery.
