Retired crew member Dr Gordon Dickens has received a certificate to celebrate his over two decades of service.

The official Royal National Lifeboat Institution Certificate of Service is in recognition of 21 years of voluntary service with Ramsey RNLI.

Gordon joined Ramsey RNLI in 2001 and served as all-weather crew from 2002 to 2011 and shore crew from 2011 to 2022.

The RNLI said: ‘Although retired from the crew Gordon remains very active with the RNLI as a Water Safety Advisor and is also involved with RYA training.’

The framed certificate was presented by Kevin Christian, the station’s lifeboat operations manager.
