RNLI Night Raises Cash to Support Lifesaving Work

An evening of music, food and a splash or two of drink has raised over £1,000 for the RNLI.

Organised by Lucy George and her family at the Welbeck Hotel & Bar, the Shenanigans Banned band was on hand to entertain the sell-out evening.

With the hotel’s bar and restaurant decked out in RNLI flags and decorative post stamps supplied by the Isle of Man Post Office, the evening raised a total of £1,114.

The RNLI was represented by Lee Quirk and Simon Bushe, who certainly looked like they were enjoying themselves.

DEFA Minister Clare Barber was on hand to hold the raffle and said: ‘What a fabulous evening and all credit to Lucy and the Welbeck team for all the organising and raising so much for such a great cause.’

The hotel thanked all of its supporters on the night, including Mrs Barber, as well as all the companies which provided prizes for the raffle.
