Want to Own a Giant Photo of a Train?

Have you ever dreamed of owning a 24 foot long picture of a steam train for your bar, garden or man cave? Well now is your chance.

The picture has adorned the fence around Haven Homes’ construction site at Janet’s Corner in Castletown but has now been donated.

Taken by Dave Sylvester, Haven has donated the picture to to raise funds for the Friends of the TT Riders Association.

The charity is the sister charity to The TT Riders association and shares the joint aim is to look after TT riders and their families in times of need.

Mounted on aluminium with a strong backing, and comes with all the fixing bolts, it comes in six panels, each one measuring 2.4m tall x 1.2m wide & in old money the total size is approximately 8 feet tall by 24 feet long (the width can be reduced by 8′ to 16′ wide if you don’t use the two yellow and blue end panels).

The TTRA secretary Dave Moffitt met with a representative from Haven Homes show just how massive this photo is.

If you are on the Island then the item can be viewed by arrangement at TTRA HQ at the rear of the Grandstand. The charity is hoping to raise £500 for the picture, but is open to offers if the asking price isn’t reached.
