Commissioners: Sewer ‘Overflowing’
The manhole on Tent Road has lifted
Garff Commissioners say they have contacted Manx Utilities over an overflowing sewer in Laxey.
The local authority said it was made aware of it the issue this morning.
Laxey is, of course, still currently without a sewage treatment site, so untreated sewage is released into the sea off via an outfall pipe.
Garff Commissioners have advised caution near the manhole on Tent Road as it has lifted.
