Douglas Pubs Open Doors to the Community This Christmas

Christmas can be a tough time for some, but two Douglas pubs are making sure anyone who needs a bit of company has somewhere welcoming to go this year.

The Front Porch on Duke Street has announced it will be open on Christmas Day from 12pm to 4pm, offering food, nibbles, and a warm, friendly space for anyone who might be feeling isolated.

Whether visitors fancy a chat, a quiet drink, or simply soaking up some festive atmosphere, the pub promises a safe, no-pressure environment where everyone is welcome.

‘Christmas should feel like belonging, and if you’re not sure where to go this year, let The Front Porch be your place,’ the team said.

Meanwhile, the Nags Head in Douglas is also continuing its long-standing tradition of serving the community, confirming it will once again host a complimentary Christmas meal on December 25 for anyone who wishes to join.

The Nags has done this for a while now, and we think its fantastic.

Both pubs highlight the spirit of the season: food, warmth, and company for those who might otherwise be on their own.
