Drivers Warned After Jurby Pothole Wrecks Wheels

A Manx garage has issued a warning to drivers in the north of the island after a ‘savage’ pothole claimed two victims in a single day.

Mobile tyre fitting service C&S Tyres says two motorists needed replacement wheels today after hitting the pothole on Jurby Coast Road.

The business, which operates from Kirby Farm Industrial Estate, shared photos on Facebook showing the damage caused and urged drivers to keep their eyes open.

Posting online, the company said:  ‘KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN. Just past Killane Nurseries in Jurby heading towards the prison there is a savage pothole… second customer today!’

Drivers using the route are being warned to take extra care, particularly if travelling towards the island’s prison.

Since the post, many have said it’s caused problems for them too.

Looks like this one’s hungry for alloys.
