Culture Vannin’s Youtube account has racked up four million views across its vast archive.

The videos posted range from history to culture and music to language.

Of the four million views, just over two million come from only two videos, both of which feature national treasure Charles ‘Welcome to the Isle of Man’ Guard.

Culture Vannin said: ‘Gura mie eu, everyone who helped with the films, watched them and shared them with friends and followers.

‘Four million views is a lot for our films but it is great to know that so many people are interested in watching something relating to Manx culture, be it music, dance, history, language, folklore, or more. Yindyssagh!’

The most popular video, with 1.4m views, was Charles’ exploration of a secret bank vault built in the 1800s by Castletown’s George Quayle.

Another video featuring Charles was his 35 minute documentary about the history of Castle Rushen, which has been viewed 1.2m times.

Other popular videos include a look at coastal erosion on the island, a history of tourism and an aerial tour of the island.
