The Mysterious Case of a Missing Motor

In what can only be described as the most Manx of mysteries, Kestrel Insurance has issued a heartfelt plea to the people of the island: ‘Our client has misplaced a car. Anyone seen it?’

No, it’s not a prank.

This isn’t some new-age marketing stunt or a modern-day treasure hunt (though we would watch that film).

A real-life Blue SEAT Ibiza, registration KMN 992X, has genuinely gone walkabout — and no one knows where it is.

To clarify, it has not been stolen.

This isn’t a Liam Neeson situation. There’s no criminal mastermind at work.

The car is just… well… somewhere, and Kestrel and their client would really like to know where.

A spokesperson from Kestrel said: ‘We need help from our community.

‘For reasons outside of their control, one of our clients has lost their car. To be very clear, the car is NOT stolen, simply misplaced.’

They even posted a lovely scenic snap of the Ibiza up Douglas Head, as if to say: ‘Look how happy it was. Let’s get it home.’

Islanders are now being urged to keep their eyes peeled in car parks, lay-bys, fields, possibly hedges — you never know. Stranger things have happened on the Isle of Man.
