The Search for Toffee Continues

The search for missing Toffee is continuing, with the Dachshund last seen in dangerous terrain near South Barrule and Cringle Plantation.

The Isle of Man Constabulary issued a warning on Wednesday evening after Toffee went missing from the Ballamodha/Corlea Road area.

Officers urged anyone spotting him not to shout or chase, as he is nervous, and to contact his owner on 264398.

Local charity Noodle’s Canine Rescue Isle of Man quickly stepped in to help, calling for volunteers to assist in daylight searches across safer areas, and warning against entering hazardous zones.

In an update at around 4pm today, Noodle’s Canine Rescue said: ‘We had a sighting of Toffee today at around 12.45pm.

‘Toffee was spotted in an area with extremely treacherous terrain, thick overgrowth, a ravine, a stream, and large holes.

‘It’s a dangerous area, especially after dark.

‘We strongly advise against any night searches in this hazardous zone.

‘If you wish to help, we’d appreciate assistance during daylight hours. Please stick to safe areas like roadways, tracks, and open fields. Safety is our top priority!

‘Thank you all for your ongoing support, and let’s bring Toffee home safely, together.’

Anyone spotting Toffee is asked to contact the owner immediately, and helpers are reminded to stay safe while assisting in searches during daylight hours.
