UK Strikes Affecting Manx Post

There will be no airmail on the island after December 23, as strikes and network disruption in the UK has caused Isle of Man Post Office to change its services.

The UK strikes do not involved Manx workers.

The IOM PO has said that airmail will arrive on the island as normal on December 23, with deliveries also taking place as planned.

However, there won’t be any collections or airmail dispatch to the UK.

Counters at the Post Office HQ and the Northern Delivery Office in Ramsey will close at 5pm.

On Christmas Eve, there won’t be any airmail arriving on the island and Post Office HQ will be open from 9am until 12.30pm. Local deliveries and any parcels still on hand will be attempted to be delivered in time for Christmas.

After Christmas, airmail won’t be arriving on December 28 and there won’t be any deliveries.

However, collections will take place as normal and airmail will be dispatched. The Ramsey counter will be closed.

On December 29, services will return to normal.

The final day to post to the UK will be December 21, but anything sent on this day will need to be sent by special delivery or Parcelforce 24.
