WATCH: Young Farmers Spread Christmas Cheer With Brilliant Tractor Run
Here’s a little clip we filmed in Dhoon this evening as the Isle of Man Young Farmers’ Christmas Tractor Run made its way towards the finish, and plenty of people were out waving, cheering and soaking up the festive glow.
After the tractors took on the south of the island yesterday, tonight was the turn of the north.
The convoy set off from St John’s at 4.15pm, and while they ran a touch behind by the time they reached Ramsey, no one seemed to mind.
Crowds lined the route through Peel, Kirk Michael, Ballaugh, Sulby, Ramsey, Laxey and Onchan, all the way to the TT Grandstand.
Organised by the Isle of Man Young Farmers, this year’s run is raising money for two brilliant causes: Isle Stand Up to Suicide and the Isle of Man Agricultural Benevolent Trust.
A fantastic event, a brilliant turnout, and now we wait patiently for the real highlight of the season: Percy Hampton’s tractor-pool karaoke videos.
